Japanese Peanuts: A Surprising Origin
Ironically, Japanese-style peanuts originated in Mexico, not Japan. Also known as maní japonés or cacahuates japoneses in Spanish, this snack was invented in 1945 by a Japanese immigrant living in Mexico named Yoshigei Nakatani. To this day, Yoshigei’s addictive peanut creation continues to grow in popularity throughout Mexico and the United States.

Peanuts, Wheat Flour, Rice Flour, Sugar, Leavening (ammonium bicarbonate, baking soda), Salt, Soy Sauce (water, soybeans, wheat, salt) and Potato Starch. Packaged in the same facility as: Peanuts, Tree Nut, Wheat, Soy, Milk, Sesame, Fish, Shellfish, Egg, and Sulfites.

So yummy and crunchy. There's a weird thing that happens with these and it's very interesting. When you pour some out of the bag to eat they.immediately get sticky. They stick to each other and your fingers. But here's where it gets interesting - it doesn't make your fingers sticky! These are great! I love the crunch and the peanut flavor. One of my all time favs!
