Chocolate haystacks are a generations-old American treat that can be made with a variety of ingredients from oats to nuts to fried noodles. Our chocolate and caramel coconut haystacks are made with flaked coconut and are pleasantly chewy and satisfying sweet treat. Not quite a cookie, not entirely a candy, haystacks are a delicious in-between delight.
Ingredients:
sugar, coconut (contains sodium meta-bisulfite as a preservative), fructose cornsyrup, partially hydrogenated soybean oil,skim milk, whey (milk), salt, cocoa, cornsyrup, soy lecithin, egg whites, corn starch,artificial flavor, yellow 6. The caramel coconut haystacks were terrific! The chocolate didn't have a very strong chocolate flavor. I normally would have preferred the chocolate, but the caramel more than made up for it!

There weren't nearly as many caramel as there were chocolate... maybe 80% were chocolate...? The taste of the chocolate seemed muted but the caramel had a nice flavor. (I would love to have all caramel some time.
